Hat arrived today. Seems to just be a regular hat. No idea where it came from or what it was for, still!

Hello sofi - thank you for sharing the photos of your new acquisition. Kyocera digital cameras and a Kyocera analogue hat - that's pretty cool! Now all you need is a Kyocera jacket and you'll have it all...

This delightful Yashica Tie-Clip from the 1960s arrived today. Yashica Rangefinder tie-clipThe level of detail in the generic 'Yashica' rangefinder is quite impressive on an object that is so small. The narrowness of the clip reflects the styles of tie that were worn back then. It was probably a trade incentive.

Hello Ariel That RTSIII pin is a very nice find; congratulations. It appears to have been made independently of Kyocera/Contax by a company in Germany; do you know the manufacturer? From the information on the back, the manufacturer seems to be " Produkt Idee", checking on the net I found out a marketing and advertising company called " produktIDEE GmbH & Co.KG" matching with the name and the phone number. Here are the details: produktIDEE GmbH & Co.KG Ihr Werbeartikel Profi

...looks too advanced and compact for 82, more like second half of the 80s... Correction: in the back of the watch, it says 1982 (I need glasses)

Hello Ariel Two very nice finds! Thank you for sharing them. It's a bit frustrating as I was at Photokina in 1982 as a guest of Yashica and I don't remember that watch; somewhere in a cupboard here is a West German trade price list taken from the event. There were some 50th Anniversary references in it so it's time to go on a hunt... There is a nice link to Yashica's history in these two items; it's founding company, Yashima, started life in 1949 by making electric clocks!

" Pioneer in electronic cameras" sticker: Maybe from the late 70s or early 80s?

I'm not entirely sure where this should appear in the Forum but here will do I think. So, Yashica produced some wooden picture frames as part of a special Zoomate 70 Kit here in the UK. It's also interesting to see the dealer using the picture frame referred to in the advertised promotion to promote that very same kit. I don't think this was intended by Kyocera's marketeers as the correct content behind the glass cover is a replication of the pack cover on a very pleasing wood-coloured piece of matte, stiff card. It looks like the dealer removed the frame from inside the kit's packaging, and replaced the card with this photocopied piece of paper with the promotion's details on it. It's good to see the original pricing, the contents of the kit, and the discount being offered. Yashica Wood Frame Although this was a 1995/6 promotion by the UK distributor, was this also available in other territories? Any of you guys got a Yashica wooden picture frame?

It should not be a surprise to see a photo related product released as part of a camera kit, but I was not expecting a wooden frame. Nice one!

One more keychain - this one's for the Contax 139Q. It has so much 'Bling' to it, that it's hard to photograph without at least a full stop down of compensation to knock back the highlights.
