I've only seen one other of these, and I own it. It's a bit rough looking though. Could use a bit of the Flitz magic.

It is a wonderfully sharp lens. Flares like an SOB, though. I will need to find a lens shade if I ever take it to play outside. This one polished up nicely. I think a 1 5/8 Series VI adapter will fit, but all I am finding on eBay are shades that I think will be too shallow. I have a Leitz shade for a 135mm Hektor that I may be able to rig up. I think a standard Tele Series VI hood would work fine, that way you wouldn't need a retaining ring. BTW, there is a black filter retaining ring that goes with that cap. I've had mine for a couple of years now, and last night I finally got them to separate. Took about a half hour of work, and that was the third go I've had at it.

I have a lens shade on the way from a friend who works at Central Camera in Chicago. Mounting the Leitz adjustable shade backwards and taping it on worked well enough for testing. This lens is heavy like the old chrome on brass Nikkor rangefinder lenses.

That is also on its way to Fort Dodge.

There's a lovely quality to these shots! To me, they have a cinematic look, I think of the movie "Fargo", to be specific.
