Hello everyone, please share here pictures of your toys, not just a plain list, could be cameras, lenses and accesories (all brands allowed, not only Yashica), the shots must be of your actual toys, not some random picture from internet of the same brand and model. I will start here with one of my favorites: KIEV-4M (1977) Jupiter 8 50mm f/2 Jupiter 11 135mm f/4 Jupiter 12 35mm f/2.8 Helios 103 53mm f/1.8

Just wait till greyscale discovers your thread, ariel -- there's gonna be real gems in abundance, and we'll be scrolling and drooling and scrolling and slavering till the cows come home... Meanwhile, here are some specimens of a rather modest and low-profile sort:

Braun!!... from Franconia with love I like a lot the old Braun cameras, those are heavy weight and well constructed, much more than expected from a so-called low budget line of cameras and lenses. A Paxette is in my list... maybe someday... The one in the middle is a Gloria?...but I do not recognize the finder on the one in the back.

That rangefinder is a Certo, very well-built and reliable. I like it better than the Watameter.
Yes, it's two Paxinas and a Gloria in he middle. Meanwhile, a second Gloria has arrived, as broken as the first one. Only one Paxina is in working order. My intention was to do some tinkering and come up with one of the Glorias working, but I just don't find the time to even begin with the many 'projects' I have in mind so I've decided to give them away to anybody who can make use of them. Drop me a PM and I shall post the lot to you, together with two (working) Super Paxettes. Just reimburse me for the postage. Michael

Never tried a Certo rangefinder, I have a Watameter and depending on the day I find really difficult to see the distance scale but, on the other hand, the size is very small compared with other finders.

No sweat, ariel, I shall be glad to give the cameras into the hands of somebody who can make use of them as I've been hoarding way too many of them. After all, cameras aren't made to rest on shelves or in storage boxes... Further details via PM. Michael

Just to let everyone know, May 1 is International Commie Camera Day (ICCD), when you take your Soviet made cameras (pre-1992) out for a spin. There is a group on Flickr where you can post your photos if you are a member. Otherwise, we can start a new thread in the Gallery board so you can post them on Yashica Forum. I'll set it up for those that wish to participate. PF

To continue with the main subject of this thread, here another toy from the old DDR: The Tessar 50mm f/2.8 is an excellent lens, very sharp and with an amazing bokeh.
