From time to time I come across brochures for old gear. If it is of interest, I will continue to buy them and upload their images to this Forum; please let me know if this is something you would like to see as some of these are quite expensive and if there's little interest, I won't bother. They do however contain some good information on the cameras and the relevant Yashica systems, as well as being fascinating little time capsules.
To whet the appetite, I just bought this little gem from 1962 for the Yashica J-3; it's an A4 six-page gatefold with a retailer's imprint for Westminster Photographic, a shop I remember from a long time ago. (For those of us Brits of a certain age, it's nice to see a phone number that still uses the name of the exchange instead of those very boring dialling numbers we are all accustomed to these days...)

It's always good to see stuff like this, Graham, so that one can make a determination as to what accessories were available for certain models, and what features were on the cameras.

The following 1961 brochure has arrived; it's for the successor to the Pentamatic S and was known in some markets as the Penta J and others (such as the UK) as the Reflex 35. The Penta J was phased out to help avoid any confusion with the Pentamatic cameras and lenses with their bayonet mounts just as the J-3 was introduced towards the middle of the next year, 1962. Interesting to note that the lenses mentioned are all Yashinon - not a M42 Yashikor in sight...

Just noticed one unusual aspect of the J-3 brochure: Yashica's reference to the use of its bellows. I had never seen a suggestion before from a camera manufacturer that, in addition to close focusing, it could be used in extended form with long focus lenses; I will have to try and find an original set of their bellows with the instruction leaflet to check it out.
I was also unaware that Yashica made microscopes; one lives and learns...

Well, here is mine... ;-)
I find those vintage brochures quite fascinating too and greatly appreciate your sharing them with us, biggles3!

I'm beginning to think it might be a good idea to create a new section for Yashica promotional material - brochures, advertisements, etc.
I have received this brochure for the Lynx-Eye from the 1960s. It also shows the 35 M II, 35 Campus and the classic 35 J.

It would stand to reason that when the company name was changed to Yashica, they were still making microscopes. PD

Well, this didn't go very well. It blended two different threads together, so the posts are sort of jumbled up. And there is no "Undo"! Sorry I screwed things up, Graham, but this forum software is really more basic than I thought it would be. Quick to make changes, yes, but once they are made, there is no going back.
The software did not give an option to just move the thread in it's entirety as-is, thus I had to make a new thread name, which I had planned to make a sticky out of. So what it did was replace your original thread name with what I created, and then blended the next moved thread in with the first one because of the same reason.
If you can post the original titles for the two threads (or anything close to what they were), I can then re-create those in the new section, and rearrange the posts I moved. After that, I'll be sure to use the original thread or post title when moving something around in the future.

I can never recall something that I've said or written shortly after doing it so I genuinely can't recall the original thread names; it's been a plague throughout my life and drives my g/f crazy.
As it happens, looking at this Brochure thread, the content seems fine and is better here than in the other sections.
I do know that I've added some advertisements recently to the SLR section. If we create a new thread in this section specifically for advertisements, I'll upload them afresh. I'm going to have to buy an A3 scanner as many of the brochures are larger than A4 and scan and stitch takes a very long time to do accurately.
tts' idea for Manuals is a good one BUT it takes a LOT of work to scan a single manual, even more so if you split it into its different languages, so that may have to wait a while. I do have a few Repair Manuals as well as user manuals and these too will take a lot of time to prepare. File sizes will be a problem so they'll need to be uploaded in many sections. But we'll get there one day...

This arrived in the post: it's a 1960s brochure for Yashica's non-SLR range (J, MII & Lynx) which includes a half-frame camera (Rapide) as well as the sub-miniature Y16. It lists their available accessories as well as recommended retail prices from pre-decimalisation days.
