Fast forward to 2021, the usual Price (thanks to the Guys from Spain & Japan, since 2020) raised to ~300 EUR for around a year, the cheapest Sample for close to 270 EUR is that Copy, into excellent Condition, if one of you Guys is from Switzerland, let's have a look here: www.tutti.ch/de/vi/zuerich/foto-video/zubehoer/yashica-ml-zoom-28-50mm-f3-5-inkl-koecher-exzellent-selten/42107370It's not worth, for that Price, to ship into the EU, also not with 19% Value added Tax, and also Customs. It's already way expensive. I'm from Switzerland and I would never buy from this guy! He seriously overcharges with any item... I've been looking at the stuff he has for a while, some interesting lenses but if you have patience you can buy them a lot cheaper here.
It's interesting that here in Switzerland prices for lenses are in general a lot lower than anywhere else (which is surprising since normally it's the other way around...). Very few people use Ebay here, so the inflation didn't catch on as much

I had joined ricardo.ch some time ago and assumed I'd see better pricing on Zeiss and Voigtlander gear, but it always seemed to show higher prices than US sites, so I stopped watching. I'll have to take another look.

I'll have to take another look. Well known gems such as everything Zeiss, Leica, Nikon F and classic collector's items can't be had cheap that's true. While I had some luck with instant buy (Zeiss 28 / 50 / 135 for 90 CHF) and bad photos (minolta 58/1.2 for 120) most of these very high value items do fetch ebay prices if the auctions get seen.
I've put in a mint 50/1.4 starting at 199 (which i thought is a reasonable price) and two guys bid it up to 360... So unfortunately now many people list their Zeiss 50's in that range.
But when looking at other less known or sought after items (great 3rd party macros, yashica, minolta, fast fifties etc.) you can certainly get bargains! One of the main reasons for that is Ricardo's listing system which is not the best. It's way easier to put things into the wrong category (compared to ebay).
BTW: many Ricardo sellers will not ship outside Switzerland...

I'm still constantly amazed at how many great deals I find on EBAY because of seller screw-ups/lack of knowledge/poor descriptions/horrible pictures/etc. I recently scored a like-new Minolta flash with case and manual for almost nothing because the seller put it in "DIGITAL CAMERAS", instead of "ELECTRONIC FLASHES". And I just received a NEW, in the box, 70-300mm AF macro-zoom for $5. I'm lucky, but still scratching my head!
