I stumbled on one of these, and wonder if there's anything in Pentamatic bayonet mount that's worth the money and effort of adapting. Yes, I could still just shoot a test film and be done with it, but life is short, and I'm too old to, well... I'm just too old. Pentamatic Lens onto Sony E mount AdapterThey're $75, which is pricey for a dumb adapter from an unknown maker, so if there's no reason to head in that direction, I'll just leave the Pentamatic on the shelf

The only lens in the Pentamatic range that is exceptional is the 100mm, though if you have the Auto Yashinon-DX 100mm the Pentamatic version is much the same though with slightly lower contrast. That being said, I quite liked the 250mm f4 as it had that Zeiss-3D quality about its images. I haven't seen one for ages - it's about 50 years since I used one.
