Maybe another owner can give you specifics, but since I don't own one, I can't give you any sure-fire solution - only offer a few ideas. 1. Try a slightly different tactic when using Google to do a web search by switching to the image search instead of just text. Enter the brand, the model, and 'repair' as the search term. As you browse the images in the results, it should be fairly obvious that you'll find something relavent and that it will usually include visuals to help locate things or provide detailed instructions. 2. Do the same type of search on YouTube to find videos that offer a fix, or at least, to give you clues about the inner parts and to get a how-to on disassembly. 3. Consider investing in a repair manual if you can't find one you can download for free. There are several places online to buy reprints, and if it's for a big-ticket or obscure camera it might be worth the expense if you plan on keeping it for a long time. A quick search turned up one source for quite a few Yashica models, including the T4 Super / T5 series... www.craigcamera.com/lit_newrep.htm4. Since your issue isn't something that requires parts to fix, you have the option of sending it off for a very basic CLA to someone like Mark Hama if you're not comfortable doing it on your own. (http://www.markhama.com) Use the contact info for him on the page to inquire about pricing and scheduling.

Welcome to the Forum, Xavier. The Yashica T5 is a fine P&S with Zeiss pedigree in the lens department, but it is still a Point and Shoot. And the reason I say it that way is P&S cameras are not designed like other types. They are made to work for a long period of time without any servicing, then after that the manufacturer would hope that you'd graduate to a more profitable model, such as an SLR, and buy many lenses for it. Therefore, the construction methods used are more for the efficiency of the assembly line, and not for opening up later on for repairs. But it can be done. I've fixed a few P&S cameras, and some I've wish I hadn't wasted the time on. As for dust in the viewfinder of your model, well it depends on what level of dust you are talking about. Does it impede your ability to compose an image, or is it just a couple of flecks that maybe if you just don't think about them, you'll forget they are there? The way a lot of these cameras are made is sometimes you will have a poly-carbonate body, with a plastic shell. They utilize clips to keep the parts together even after any screws for tightness have been removed. You can damage the body shell trying to pry it off the body, either by disfiguring the edges, or breaking the clips as you separate the individual pieces. The shell itself may be used to hold certain parts of the drive-train in place, and springs, gears, and levers can go flying when the shell is removed. And who is to say that once you get the viewfinder cleared out, it won't get dusty again in a short while? There is a reason that dust got in there in the first place, and it will find the same path again later on. But if it's extremely dusty, maybe it is a good idea to open it up, and clean out the entire insides while you are at it. But I found you a manual at www.craigcamera.com/lit_newrep.htm "#90676. CraigCamera Repair Reprint: (KYOCERA) YASHICA T5, T4 SUPER CAMERAS 124 pages, fully illustrated; 8-1/2x11", spiral bound. Faithful reprint of the original service manual on these 35mm cameras from Yashica/Kyocera. Models covered inlcude the Kyocera TProof; Yashica T5 and T5D; and Yashica T4 Super and T4 Super D. Full exploded views, parts listing, illustrated repair, adjustment and service information. Valuable source. $25.00. Also available in CD version, requires free Adobe Acrobat Reader #90715 , at $16.95 " Good luck. PF
