I don't use much b/w film these days so most of my b/w output, like here, stems from color slides. While slide film is an excellent basis for digital grayscale, I am not too fond of such manipulations and do them only when I can't get proper colors out of my slides, which sometimes happens in heavily back-lighted situations. As the optical density of my consumer scanner is limited (and so are the possibilities of digital post-pro of digitized analog color film), there's only so much you can do to "rescue" such images... Yeah, I converted a few rolls of Fuji slide film into B&W. But then it was kind of old, and thus tended to give some really odd colors. I think these look fine in B&W, Michael.
