Not for me, and the shipping cost from France to Germany is 22 Euros one every item... it comes with an armored escort?
Keeping in mind that few weeks ago I bought a ML 35mm f/2.8 in a mint condition for less than the starting price of that seller.

And the condition of that 70-210 seems anything but pristine ... in contrast to the one you bought, Graham :-)

Hi to all. Indeed this lenses are mine. Even the photos from ebay are not so concludent, the 70-210 is in very good condition, only the black paint around the filter is with some marks. As there is possible to regret in the future i took off from selling the 70-210, 28-50 and 35-70 f3.5. All other ones remain on sale.

There is really one Funboy, trying to sell the 70-210/F4 ML for 1490 EUR since some time now on ebay, but one can see clearly that the front ring does have slightly marks, so the lens have had being opened before...this Guy is really crazy.

We live in a world where people are paying more than that amount of money for some piece of cr@p just because has the Leica logo on it... who is to blame here, the crazy seller or the buyer?

It is undoubtedly a great lens but I'm not sure that it's worth more than the Zeiss VS 70-210 f3.5, especially as it lacks the Zeiss' remarkable macro facility. Build quality is the same, optical quality is the same and although it is more rare, it would be most unusual for a Yashica lens to exceed the price of a Zeiss near-equivalent.
However, I wish the seller good luck; mind you, if he succeeds I might then be tempted to sell a couple of mine...

I wouldn't pay THAT much for this Zoom - ever. It's a great lens for sure, but not worth soo much money into 2018. And, last week, i've seen that Zoom exactly for 700 EUR at ebay kleinanzeigen....still, way overpriced, even it's a rare yashica ml series.

It seems the listing was removed. I can understand that there will always be rare lenses to seek out, and some of them might be extremely good and even rival another maker's version. In this case it's the same maker, but two 'separate' brands. I may own a few rare ones, but I appreciate them for their performance and the results they produce, and not so much for the value just because they're rare.
In some instances - like the ML 21mm - a lens might be rare-ish, and it performs very well... but its roughly equivalent and more famous 18mm cousin from Zeiss is still substantially higher in price. That's not to say I won't own a Zeiss 18 some day, but if the ML was the higher priced one, I can guarantee you I'd have the Zeiss now and not the ML's. I took the same approach with the Zeiss 80-200mm f/4, versus either the faster ML or Zeiss 70-210's, and I don't regret that decision one bit. I've yet to give it a first real run through, but I'm more than happy with the test stuff I've done so far. The 20mm in overall difference between them isn't enough to persuade me to spend the cash to get a pinch more in focal length. Stepping forwards and backwards a few feet still works too, so I can make up for that in other ways. :)
I'm just not the guy that would spend huge money on something, when I could actually shoot a cheaper and as-good (or better) C/Y lens on a regular basis. Whether it's 700 in Dollars, Euros, or Pounds to buy one wouldn't matter. The difference I'd spend on one could buy me a nice, used mirrorless body, or a whopping big box of film and processing for the Contax or Yashica bodies I'd mount it to.
