I had a JC Penney (an American department store, for my non-US friends) branded 135/2.8 lens in M42 mount that was a Tokina product, and thought that it was a nice lens. Those are excellent shots, Michael.

Very good results, Michael. I've read good things about Tokina lenses when they were new, but never owned one until recently (AT-X 28-85mm 1:3.5-4.5 in OM mount). Haven't had a chance to use it yet.

Slightly at a tangent, but maybe it's no surprise that a Yashica fan would like Tokina lenses - I've read elsewhere that some of the Yashica ML Zooms may be clones of Tokina's AT-X range. They 28-85 and 35-105 MLs do look very much like the Tokina Equivalents.
