Fun - yes but at $158 I think I'll give this little Yashica re-badge a miss.
Having said that, if Santa had brought me one, I'd be out now playing with it...

I've been wanting one for years, but usually couldn't find them. For a cheaply made camera, it looks really nice. I'd like to see that same design upscaled into a 6x7 film model.

If I recall correctly, this camera has no shutter.

Most notable for its ability to produce photos that exhibit the Lartigue effect.

Most notable for its ability to produce photos that exhibit the Lartigue effect. Gee, I never stop learning here... Could have sworn that was some fun word composed of 'art' and 'fatigue' ... before old Aunt Google enlightened me that this is actually the name of a French chap used to designate the rolling shutter effect. Still, I like my own etymology better, according to which the lartigue effect describes the tiresome and boring look that certain kinds of artsy-fartsy lifestyle camera equipment would produce. (Just think of the heavily overpriced New Petzval lens and such stuff...) Michael

Michael Yeah, you can flip a lens element in any old triplet or Tessar, and get the same Petzval effect without all the expense. PF

From that huge Logo as Frontprint, i'd say that Camera does have nothing to-do with Yashica into it's purest way, it's just a xy Camera with that huge Yashica Sign onto it. Many Samples and more Info about that strange digital "Lomo" Yashica can be found on the Flickr Site here: www.flickr.com/groups/1251724@N21/
