Hello,
Anyone have an front optic element for Yashica ML 21mm? I just got one lens but the front element was badly damaged by polishing.

I don't have an answer for the OP but have myself received a fairly inexpensive ML 21mm 3.5. Mechanically all good but there are strands of fungus under the periphery of the front element. Additionally it has a small scratch. Neither of these appear to affect performance. I could just leave as is but I'm tempted to see if I can get the front element off and clean the inside surface - where I'm pretty sure the fungus is. I have already given the lens a dose of UV on the window shelf / UV light box ( normally used for cyanotypes). Any thoughts on the ease or otherwise of disassembly ?

Disassembling a ML21 is pretty straightforward. I've done it many times because my lens, being it in pristine condition, resolves partially blurred images (the bottom of the image is always blurred) I believe the internal lenses are misaligned and I don't know how to solve this.
I suggest you open it and perform a deep clean. But remember to put marks on the internal lenses to leave them as they were before.
Good luck.
