OK ridgeblue, I know I said 'Mercifully my acquisition trail is finally coming to a close' BUT I could not resist this Ebay purchase:
It was a Buy It Now for 1200 Euros and the RTSII and the lenses are all mint.
I've got a few duplicates in there so I may decide to keep the best and sell the others. I can't believe the condition of the 35mm and 85mm f1.4 lenses as mine always got a lot of use and inevitably ended up with bits of paint wear on the mounts or the ends of the barrels. Indeed I can't find a mark on any of these lovely old AE lenses. Given that I recently sold one of my 35 1.4s for 950 Euros, this has to be one of the best BIN buys for some time.
Time to get some film out of the refrigerator....

Oh wow, bundles are so often best.
My search for an affordable PC-Distagon took several years during which only eBay listing I saw was noticeably below what you've paid for that whole kit*. With a following wind and a bit of patience I'd imagine you'd double your money (even after fees) on that lot.
*incidentally, My PC-D came from Ffordes, boxed, in good shape and for much less than even a scratched copy would list for on eBay.

I have a lot of time for Ffordes and they've been a good source of sensibly-priced Contax, and occasionally Yashica, accessories. You did very well to get a premium C/Y Zeiss lens from them at a low price; I keep an eye on their website each week and spotted recently a few that will probably never sell: new old stock 200 f4s at £499 and a 135 f2 60th Anniversary at £2399 - if they want to sell them, those prices would need to drop by at least 33%... They even have a used 100 f4 S-Planar Bellows lens at £699 and I saw a mint version, attached to the Auto Bellows, both boxed, sell on Ebay for £599 earlier this year. Of course, if you buy from Ffordes you have the comfort of knowing the item will be as described and they provide a warranty.
Too right on the bundles - I suppose some people feel it's too much trouble to list the major items separately. I for one am very grateful for such lassitude!

You have my permission to "go off the reservation" every so often. I tried to swear off buying Minolta gear, but couldn't pass up a black XD-11 at a boot sale over the weekend. Nobody had any Yashica or Contax gear, and I wasn't going to walk away empty handed.
