It turns out the meter on my M is off by about 5 stops, and the RF patch is too faint to use in the sunlight. So I downloaded the myLightMeter Pro app for iPhone, which besides metering allows one to easily calculate hyperfocal range for any specific lens, and gave it a go with a roll of expired Kodak Gold 200, which I metered at 100. I am pleased with the color and the exposure, but with film that was incredibly curled, I don't think the scans give any true indication of lens sharpness, especially on the long edges. They look better on Flickr, Mike. The color came out fair considering the age of the film.
