Hello guys, I hope you are all doing well. I am new to the world of vintage cameras, I recently found my parents Yashica Finecam S3. It looks to be in good shape, however it does not have the battery or charger with it. Do any of you guys know where I could buy the correct battery and charger for this camera? As I do not want to potentially break it, because I want to use it to take some photos! Thank you in advanced!

The battery you need is the BP-800S and both a replacement battery and a charger for it are available through eBay. |

Hello biggles3, I hope you are doing well, would this one from Amazon be sufficient for the camera? Additionally can I charge the camera through the DC port? if yes do you know if amazon would sell it? I really appreciate taking the time to answer my questions. |

Hello again azmuh . The battery you have found on Amazon will work with the camera BUT you should check the reviews - several purchasers have serious complaints about them. I don't own the Finecam S3 so I'm not sure about being able to charge the battery in camera using the AC Adapter/Charger; I suspect it may not be possible. I still think eBay may be your best opportunity to buy a battery and charger. |
