What a pity, PF, that these shots have gone largely unnoticed and completely uncommented on! There are some really nice ones, such as those of the Memphis Belle here, that make me think the Samurai does have its virtues (as the resolution of a photograph is determined by the longer side, 24mm here as opposed to 36mm in 'full frame', I find the term 'half frame' somewhat misleading anyway, suggesting a loss in quality far more dramatic than is actually the case). I think this might be a handy camera for doing action shots too (and scanning series of, say, four or five frames as one single image ... oh well, I feel another fit of G.A.S. approaching). Michael

Thanks, Michael. It does get kind of slow here at times.
In reality, the movie cameras that 35mm film came from used the film gate size of what we now call half-frame (in landscape mode). At first, still cameras using the 35mm movie film were called double-frame.
I liked using BW400CN in the Samurai, the Ilford is a bit grainier than I care for. I finally scored a brick of the C-41 stuff.
