I recently got into analog photography and got a Yashica FX-3 Super 2000. I'm looking to replace the lens that came with it which is a Yashica ML 35-70mm f/3.5-4.8 as I've heard it's not a very good lens.
What would y'all recommend I get? I've narrowed it down to either the Yashica ML 50mm f2 or the Yashica ML 42-75mm f/3.5-4.5 because some lenses simply aren't available here in Indonesia. Even though it would be nice to have a decent zoom lens it is very much not necessary for the kind of photography I want to do.

Hello, If you are not much into zooms or not need them right now, then I would go for the usual suspects from the ML line, like the Yashica ML 50mm f2 you mentioned or the f/1.7, the f/1.4 would be nice too, but more expensive. At the end, it will entirely depend on what kind of photography you like. Since the 50mm lens was the kit lens coming along with the body, it was the most common lens used when starting with photography, but since you do not have it, you could start experimenting with the zoom you already have, and find what focal length in that range suites better your needs. If you wish to go directly for a prime lens, then maybe an ML 35 f/2.8 could be a good option, something in between a normal and a wide lens, but less common and usually more expensive than an ML 50mm f/1.7.
