I've almost forgotten about this rare occurence, but because I've quickly mentioned it in my article on Tomioka, I've been wondering if anyone of the dedicated Yashica people here have purchased this lens: I'm would bet that it's just a relabeled Tomioka Macro-Yashinon 60 mm f/2.8, but who knows. It certainly was the first one I've ever seen. Don't remember exactly what it sold for, but it was too much for me to attempt bidding on it. Certainly an interesting lens though...

Hello simplejoy Thank you for bringing this lens to our attention; I've not encountered it before - perhaps someone else here has...? It's very interesting as it appears to post-date the famed Tomioka Yashinon 60mm f2.8 Macro lens from looking at its serial number and the fact that it's an auto rather than preset lens. There are some crazy prices being asked for rare Tominon lens right now - such as almost £3500 on a Japanese auction site for their 35mm f1.9 in m42 mount. They've been asking that price for almost a year - you'd think they'd have got the message by now: at that asking price, it will never sell!
