Fantastic! I found this unused, boxed RA finder in a Japanese flea market on Monday and it's here in Wales today... This is the Pentamatic Right-Angle Finder. Today was the first occasion it's been outside its box in some 60 years and the glass and mirror are still crystal clear. Pentamatic RA FinderWhat excited me most (OK, I hear you - I need to get a life) was the presence of the instruction sheet which is printed on tissue paper; also found is what appears to be a Japanese warranty card. It's also interesting to see that Yashica printed the retail price on the product's label. It is increasingly difficult to find unused items of this age but going online and searching through Japanese websites is almost certainly the best, if rather time-consuming, way. There's gold in them thar urls...

Great find.
I've recently discovered these Japanese "on-line flea markets" -- for lack of a better term. I was looking for an impossible-to-find Seagull DF-400G. Even my friend in China can't find one, but a Japanese website had one -- at a very good price with inexpensive shipping. It's in mint condition. I've got to assume that the seller had no idea how rare this camera is.
I ran across the seller through a web SEARCH, but I never would have thought to look at Japanese sellers for Chinese photo gear -- go figure!!!

Have you seen the Seagull DFAB scientific camera with Haiou-64 58mm f2 (M42 mount) lens on eBay? Interesting but too expensive with such a limited specification...

Most Seagull SLRs have a Minolta mount, but a few have the Pentax K mount, and a couple, like the DFAB, use an M42. It makes no sense to me why anyone would want to pay so much for this Seagull scientific camera -- with very limited features. If they really work in a lab, there are much better, cheaper alternatives. Just to get the 58mm f2 in M42? There are better & cheaper alternatives to that as well.
Here's my Seagull DF-400G. It has auto and manual TTL exposure with B & T settings, multiple exposures, DOF button, AE lock lever, self-timer, power winder, etc. -- and MUCH less expensive than the DFAB. $100.

Hi xkaes Your message got me curious about the DF-400G and I see you can buy new in the box 2022 models from AliExpress though I suspect for a lot more money than you paid for your one. But it's nice to know they're still around - especially if you have a number of old Minolta lenses just waiting to be used again...
