This interesting camera had completely evaded my radar until this week: the Yashica Twintec AF, dating from 1991. Twintec AFIt is actually a well-specified model, offering two focal lengths - 33mm ( f3.9) and 53mm ( f6), selection being governed by a button on the top plate. It also features a waist level finder, like that found on the superb T4. One thing which is worthy of note is the format of the in-built flash; it's vertical instead of horizontal, the latter being the norm on nearly all other Yashica models. I'm assuming it was at least in part to help to keep the overall size of the body compact. Just how much it impacts on images I have yet to find out. Top speed of the camera is 1/500s and the AF is pretty snappy. There was an identical model with Kyocera-only branding plus a very similar version: Yashica's EZ Dual 35 which had some minor cosmetic differences.
