I've added a new topic - Documents and Downloads - that won't be used as a standard discussion thread. It's meant to be a titled listing for user-created documents, and also for member contributed software/firmware that pertains only to Yashica/Contax/Kyocera gear that are normally covered in the forums. If members would like to participate by providing content of their own or whatever file downloads you currently possess (i.e., software), please contact me or any of the moderators or admins via private messages to let us know what you'd like to add. Please continue to use the other forum topics to add any 3rd party created items (like brochures, dealer sheets, etc.), or for external links to anything hosted outside of the forum. This section will only be used for content we create and can be hosted in our own repository for sharing here. For moderators and admins... Topics can be created and edited without time limits, where updates or similar/like items can be inserted into the single/original topic to update them if/when needed. The permissions have been set this way to make the topics precise, and without user discussions they'll hopefully be extremely easy to keep organized and on-topic as a list, and not with running commentary to get lost in. I've made it 'members only' so that any outside links can be kept to a minimum for anyone wanting to scrape content. I'm proposing that these documents may be of any license ( Creative Commons, MIT, etc.) or copyright status (copyrighted, or public domain) that the author may wish to label them with, at their option and discretion. I'd prefer to provide them in some context than be a free-for-all, and so that they can be kept updated and released from their 'trusted source' and not be manipulated for other reasons.
