Thanks Ron B I believe that the camera takes two 1.35V batteries which would have been mercury but they are now banned and unobtainable. The only direct replacement will be Wein 1.35V cells - these can still be bought but are pretty expensive and Ebay is a good source; I buy about a dozen each year for some of my old gear. Typical UK price is around £6 per cell. DO NOT be tempted to use 1.5v batteries as some people suggest - the extra 0.3v is enough to burn out some components.
There are also workarounds which will allow you to use 1.5 cells - you have to buy a widget into which the cell is placed that reduces the voltage to the correct 1.35v - so 2 will be needed. There are also some 1.4v zinc-air batteries which will be OK.
With any of these batteries, you would be wise to carry a separate light-meter just tor check accuracy as any change in voltage will have an impact.
