This is one of the Yashica Super 8mm movie models: the Super YXL-1.1
Yashica Super YXL-1.1
The designation refers to the camera's Yashinon 13mm f1.1 fixed focus lens, which comprises 7 elements in 5 groups. Apertures run from f1.1 to f22.
The camera only offers a film speed of 18fps; uses a CdS meter for exposure control and is powered by 2 AA batteries for the motor and one 1.3v cell for the meter. As with most of the later Yashica movie cameras, the AA batteries are tucked inside the fold-away grip.
This lightweight camera (640g) also features an extra-bright optical viewfinder.
