The motor operates at 18fps and is coupled to the exposure control system; the motor is powered by 2 AA batteries held in the hand grip and the exposure system is controlled by a through-the-lens CdS meter, powered by a 1.3v cell housed within the film chamber. The lens has a fine reputation and is the Yashinon 9-36mm f1.8 which comprises 12 elements in 10 groups. The camera has an in-built 85A filter. Minimum focus is 4ft (1.2 metres) and the viewfinder offers dioptric adjustment.
Seen next to the camera is the Yashica Remote Controller for use when the camera is tripod-mounted.
