I haven't scanned the negs yet though I actually asked them for prints rather than scans so I can see how my scans turn out in comparison to the prints. Maybe I'll scan a couple of photo's later and post them.

Here are two scans of the prints done on my home scanner. I'll scan the negatives on my Epson 3200 over the weekend if I find time.

Looks great to me as far as the obvious focus/sharpness stuff goes. If the mechanics and all else works the way you'd expect once it's in-hand, then I think the repair went as good as can be expected - or better, if there were lots of internal issues needing hard to find replacement parts.

Yeah I think so too. It is such a lovely camera in the hand.
I am looking forward to scanning the negatives so I can see a bit more detail and understand where I have made errors. I know in a couple of shots when I was metering I had my finger partly over the cell window without realising and whilst I thought the reading was off I went with it anyway.
I'll be back with some scans soon.

I am looking forward to scanning the negatives so I can see a bit more detail (...). So am I. Given that these scans have been taken from prints, the image quality leaves nothing to be desired. When scanned from the negs with a proper film scanner these might well be stunners.

So far it looks like you've got a good camera now. That whole finger over the meter thing is something that you'll have to keep reminding yourself about until it becomes second nature. I had the same issue with the shutter winder of the Argus C3. After I changed the way I held the camera it never happened again.

I ended up misplacing the negs and so have recently finished shooting another roll of film: Portra 400. Here is one of the images, I have more scanning to do but the scanner is being temperamental. I think it is the cable.
