I updated the clock seen in my avatar. Put a new movement in the lens barrel, then mounted it on my FX-3 Super 2000. Yashica Clock Mark II by br1078phot, on Flickr PF

No, no, Adrian. It's the same lens barrel with a different timepiece, then mounted on a different camera. The FX-2 is for use, whereas I don't particularly care for the FX-3 S2K, so it's now the keeper of the clock. PF

Even better than your first model! Michael Thanks, Michael. I might do the same with a dead Minolta X-700 and scuzzy 1.7/50 Rokkor I've got. The modern low cost construction of the lens barrel makes these type of lenses easier to do such a mod. PF

I'd love to hear why you don't like the FX-3 S2K? Mine is definitely a keeper, even if I sell my other Yas bodies!

I looked at the test I did with the camera and four lenses, and I can't remember just exactly why I didn't care for it. Might have been something with the read-outs in the viewfinder. I guess I can say I just didn't bond with it. I'm hoping for a better experience with the FX-D, once I get it re-covered.

Great use for redundant gear! I have a projector as a lamp, but this is much more creative.

Great use for redundant gear! I have a projector as a lamp, but this is much more creative. Not quite redundant, Barry. The lens was ruined from fungus, so that made it a good candidate for this. I used to have a brand new, never opened one from Canon that they only gave out to top sellers, but it went in the big survival auction several years back. Been wanting another lens clock ever since, and it just looks so much better on the FX-3. I just thought of something. If I mounted it on the FX-D, then I could say the "Quartz" on the camera was in reference to the clock.

If anyone has a flash unit for an Argus Seventy-five, I would like to make a handsome lamp out of mine.
