Welcome to the Forum, Ralph. That's a nice stable of CY gear to have. An FX-D should not be hard to get.

I remember selling a 14e a few years back. I think I must have under-priced it, because it went within hours of going on Ebay. I'd checked it all over beforehand and checked the shutter speeds, which were all accurate to about a fifth of a stop, and I think the top speed was about a third slow. Pretty good for a mechanical shutter! It is definitely not a lightweight compact ; you could use it as a club to stun a runaway bull. But that certainly was a lovely big f/1.4 lens on the front, and being a leaf shutter, whisper quiet.

Hi there,
I am Albert and an enthusiastic Yashica collector/ user
In my collection I have:
Yashica Atoron Yashica Electro 35GS 2X Yashica Electro 35GSN Yashica Electro 35GT Yashica Electro 35GX 2X Yashica Electro 35 MG-1 Yashica Electro 35ME Yashica Electro 35 FC Yashica Electro M5 Yashica Electro AX Yashica Minister II Yashica Minister III Yashica Minister D Yashica Minister 700 Yashica J-3 Yashica YJ gold markings Yashica YK white markings Yashica YK gold markings Yashica YL Yashica FR Yashica Zoomate 70 Yashica Half 17 Rapid Yashica MF-2 Yashica 44 A Yashica JP Yashica Penta J/Reflex 35 Yashica EZ Matic Yashica Partner AF Yashica 35 EE 2.8 Yashica FX-3
A big part of the fun for me is to find Yashica stuff tha is rare or not much encountered where I live. I do some minor repairs myself but unfortunately don't have the time to fix bigger issues. Furthermore I consider myself rather a 'purist'. I have sold of most of the Kyocera-age camera's that I owned and try to focus on the older gear.
Apart from the camera's on my list I also have some Yashica film camera's,projectors and accessoires.
I will try to post remarkable findings and / or questions on this forum now and then, and I hope I can contribute to the knowledge database.

Welcome to the Forum, Albert. That's a good collection you have there, though I see a few holes in it, about like mine. It's always fun to find an older Yashica no matter what condition it's in (well, unless it has been drowned in saltwater). Nice to have you aboard.

I started off my pro/freelance career in the early '80's with a shiny new FR I, and ML lenses... 35/2.8, 50/1.4, and 135/2.8. I bought them all (mail-order) from 42nd St. Photo in N.Y., and sold them all (with regrets) in the early '90's. l have been slowly rebuilding Yashica and C/Y stuff for the last few years. Rangefinders... Several Electro 35 G's, GT's, GSN's/GTN's (both silver and black bodies), and a Yashica 35 (step-top version) w/ 45/2.8 TLR... A Yashica LM, with 80mm/3.5. Not the later Mat LM, but the 1957 metered version with knob-winder and flip-up meter face. Yashica Dental Eyes... Original DE w/ 55/4, and a DE-III, w/ 100/4 Yashica SLR bodies... FR, FR I, FR II, FX, FX II, FX-D, FX-D SE, FX-3, FX-3 2000, FX-70, FX-103 Program, 108 MP Contax SLR bodies... 137's - MA and MD, 139 Quartz, 159MM, 167MT, RTS I and II, and an RX Lenses... Yashinon M42: 20/3.3 DSB: 135/2.8 MC: 35-70/3.5-4.5 ML primes: 21/3.3, 24/2.8, 28/2.8 (both DSB and ML grip types), 35/2.8, several 50's (f/2/1.9/1.9c/1.7/1.4), 55/2.8 Macro, 100/4 Macro, 135/2.8, 135/2.8c, 200/4 (DSB and ML grips), 200/4c ML Zooms: 28-50/3.5, 28-85/3.5-4.5, 35-70/3.5-4.8, 35-105/3.5-4.5, 42-75/3.5-4.5, 70-210/4.5 , 75-150/4, 80-200/4.5 YUS: 28/2.8, 135/2.8 Zeiss T*: 28/2.8, 50/1.7, 50/1.4, 85/2.8, 135/2.8, 200/3.5 (v2), 300/4 (v1), 35-70/3.4 macro zoom I may have missed a couple, and in some cases I might have 2 or 3 - with some as spares, and some for parts. Although I have yet to post the majority of the Yashica stuff, my gallery/blog site has photos, with some that are of - or are taken by - Yashica gear... lumiworx.com

A very good collection so far, Randy. You might want to look into getting some of the Penta SLRs. There are some fine lenses among that series too.

So far I've managed to find most of what I've searched for, and I'm really happy with some of the gems in the list. I'm not sure if my wallet could take an added hit from yet another GAS attack though. I think I'd have to thin out what I have before I take on a whole new product line. ???

These days I'm almost an all Contax guy and my collection is quite extensive now... Contax 139Q | 159MM | RTSIIIZeiss 18/4 | 25/2.8 | 28/2.8 | 50/1.4 | 85/1.4 | 135/2.8 | 300/4 | 28-85 | 80-200 And one Yashica - A Yashicamat 124G. Interesting to look back and see what's changed over 2 years. I have added a 35/2.8 PC-Distagon, 45/2.8, 50/1.7, 60/2.8c Makro-Planar, 180/2.8 Sonnar and a Mutar I. Both the 139 and the RTS III are gone, replaced with an Aria and a second 159MM, at the same time I no longer have a 50/1.4. I also have most of the accessories I need or want (e.g. W-1 hood, 70/86 Ring). The current set therefore reads; Contax 159MM |159MM & W-7| Aria Zeiss 18/4 | 25/2.8 | 35/2.8 PC | 45/2.8 | 50/1.7 | 60/2.8c | 85/1.4 | 135/2.8 | 180/2.8 | 300/4 | 28-85/3.3 | 80-200/4 | Mutar I At this point grid screens, hood caps (one K94 and a couple of K84s) and a replacement back for the tatty one on my Aria are the only real targets. Seeing this come to the top again has had me take another look back. GAS is a terrible thing and looks incurable. I’m now at 3x159MMs,139, AX, RX, RTS II, FX-3 half frame, FX-103, Electro 35CC, Yashicamat 124G. Zeiss 18/4, 25/2.8, 35/2.8, 35/2.8 PC, 45/2.8, 50/1.7, 50/1.5, 60/2.8c, 85/1.4, 100/3.5, 135/2.8, 180/2.8, 200/4, 300/4, 35-70, 28-85, 80-200, Mutars I, II & III. Yashica ML 50/2 & 35-105 &100-300/5.6. I also have a Contax T rangefinder plus a G1 and 28/45/90 outfit. Oh yeah, and I have the hood caps which were supposedly all I needed..,

"Seeing this come to the top again has had me take another look back"... I had the same thought, and I should really find a less obsessive term to assign to my ills than GAS and LBA. It's starting to feel like a camera store spilled in through my front door.

I've not included the Contax G, N, 645 or Digital cameras and trying to list the major accessories is not an option - I'd quickly lose the will to live. There are certainly some significant gaps in the Yashica gear but I feel I've earned a rest and can safely leave it to other members of the Forum to show us all some of the more interesting items in the seemingly never-ending Yashica range of goodies...

Very impressive for sure.
I might point out that the Atorons are not 110 cameras, but MINOX-sized. In addition, Yashica made at least three 110 cameras, although I've never ran across one. Plus the 16mm Yashicas were made in two "styles" -- one used the unique Yashica Y-16 cassette, and the others used the Minolta 16mm cassette. They both used 16mm film, but the cassettes were not interchangeable.
I'll have to check out my Yashica gear. It's quite a bit, but no 35mm SLR cameras -- 35mm lenses? YES!
