Hello All, my name is Ariel, living in Germany now and a big fan of the Yashica cameras and lenses.
Found this forum today while browsing and searching for info about a some ML lenses, so I decided to register and start sharing and reading opinions and experiences about our beloved cameras.
My weapon of choice is a black Yashica FR-I with a ML 50mm f/1.4 lens, gift from my father.
Cheerio!

Welcome to the Forum and Nice choice of camera. The FR-1 is probably my favourite Yashica SLR, and I preferred it to it's Contax RTS 'twin'

Thank you all for your warm welcome! ridgeblue99 , my avatar comes from a scan of an original sticker from 77, it is still available on Ebay. bp_reid , I like the FR-1 very much, maybe there are more complete, light, advanced cameras out there or with more accesories, but not for the same price, and feels excellent when handling it. The only things I would like to add to make it perfect are: at least one or two mechanical shutter speed to be able to use it when the battery gets exhausted or not available, mirror lock up and a metal gear for the frame-counter mechanism. (almost nothing, right?)
