hello guys, i'm from sus germany and i have a problem with my yashica t4. the camera consumes a lot of energy. my battery dies within 3-4 days. does anyone know the problem and can it be fixed?

Hello dassnake and welcome to the Forum! I'm sorry to say that this is a growing problem with T4 and T5 cameras. So far, I have not heard of a fix and if the others who have been in contact are typical, you may be facing worse problems with the camera eventually failing to operate at all. I know you're in Europe but it might be worth trying to contact Mark Hama's company in the USA (http://www.markhama.com/) as he probably has the best knowledge of the Contax/Yashica systems and may be more familiar with the issue and its causes. I know he has worked on T4s with stuck shutters in the recent past. I'm sorry not be able to be more helpful (or optimistic) but perhaps someone else here has had a similar problem and solved it... |
