Hi,
are there some (simple) advices on waking up the light meter on those 2 types camera's ?
Handling is bit confusing, its not a strait forward light meter - or im doing sth wrong.
Thanx

Both cameras might be a little tricky to get confirmation that their working circuits can still be powered. They both take different types of unavailable Mercury cells, so there's one hurdle right at the start. You'll need to find something to not only replace the voltage/amperage requirements, but also be size compatible and make positive contact with the battery terminals. I've had to get a bit creative in finding some pliable material to form physical shims, and it's a good idea to have some kitchen-foil waiting if you need some electrical 'extensions' for conductive spacers. The AX is one of the first (if not THE first) to use a half-press on the shutter button to activate metering, and it might require the shutter to be properly cocked before it will give reasonable readings once it's pressed in. The TL-E needs the up/down slider on the side of the mirror box to be pushed into place before it will take any readings at all. I think it will also drain the battery slowly if left in the on position, so don't forget to deactivate it between uses and for storage if it doesn't spring back into place when released. The online manuals have step-by-step details for reference...
