Here is another Yashica P&S, fixed focus camera, made in Japan around 1987/8 - the Yashica DF-10. Yashica DF-10It is essentially another fixed focus camera though this one offers two lens settings. It has a 35mm f3.5 (3elements/3 groups) lens but by adding a further combination of 2 elements/2 groups, it also provides a 55mm f8.5 lens. The choice is selected by pressing a red switch on the top plate; flash is also selectable via another top plate switch and has to be manually activated; there is an under-exposure warning light to prompt the photographer to use it.. The photo above shows the lens in the extended 55mm position. Shutter speeds are limited to 1/125s at 35mm and 1/60th at 55mm. There was later a DF-10S which simply added a self-timer.

An older cousin to the wonderfully named Ninja Star AF Tele/Wide (aka DF-100AF) Now that's a modest, snappy name with which to conjure....

You'll be disappointed to see that it has no "pointy" weapon bits. I guess, in desperation, you could throw it at an attacker, but it being a bit plasticky, a better option would be to run away
