This is the Yashica MG-3 - a very basic, plastic, P&S camera made by Kyocera's Brazil facility some time around 1992. Yashica MG-3I'm assuming this is Yashica's 34mm f3.5 fixed focus lens; I don't have the manual so can't vouch for any of the specifications. The shutter speed seems a constant 1/100s but unlike similar Yashica P&S models of a similarly basic nature, there is no discernible warning as to when the flash needs to be engaged. The photographer simply has to judge the light and then push the flash-switch to activate it; recycling using the two AA batteries is swift, which suggests that it's not very powerful as one can't see a very high-end capacitor being employed in such a low-spec camera. One good things is that the shutter can't be accidentally triggered when the lens cover is closed. It is somewhat unusual to find a lever wind on this small P&S - another example of cost-saving in the production. Interestingly, nowhere on the camera is there any reference to the country of origin for either the lens or the body. Under optimum conditions the quality of photographs is fair - but don't look at the edges... Best sharpness and contrast is achieved when using the flash. This camera makes my previous submission - the Yashica Partner - look like a highly sophisticated instrument; that alone should tell you something...
