I am always amazed at the various versions of the same camera that Yashica produced.
It's rather pleasing viewfinder camera - the Flash-O-Set - is one in point. Not only were there two versions, there were also 2 variants of the later version...
Flash-O-Set original version
This is the original Flash-O-Set, with the light-meter sensor above the lens and the beautiful mirrored front to the viewfinder. It also carried Yashica's heraldic shield.
Now we come to the more common version, the Flash-O-Set II.
Flash-O-Set styles
Not only has the heraldic device gone along with that elegant, mirrored viewfinder, the light sensor is now surrounding the lens which of course makes the use of filters easier to handle.
The eagle-eyed of you will have spotted that the holder for the flash-bulb has 2 different orientations as well as differently-sized cut-outs. The larger one in the vertical format is the final iteration which was able to handle a greater variety of bulbs.

What I find interesting is that they all have flash shoes, to boot -- an a PC connection somewhere.
And I must admit that I find the 4cm lens more attractive than the 40mm version -- only because it LOOKS like a MUCH faster lens.
