This has to be one of the best bargains for a long time; Yashica's superb Lynx IC 14-E rangefinder. It cost me a whopping £15 including postage as it was being auctioned as needing repair.
Lynx IC 14E
The only problem was some minor corrosion in the battery compartment which was sorted in 10 minutes with some deOxit and then an application of conductive paint. Serious corrosion in the battery compartment of the Lynx can cause irreparable damage as it can easily spread, causing a lot of issues. Even so, it was worth a punt just to have that lens - I have seen a few that have been removed and a mount added to permit its use on DSLRs.
I have never read a poor review of the glass and now that the whole camera is working properly, a roll of 35mm film will be loaded if it ever stops raining over here. Can't wait to see the results...

I've only vaguely familiar with the Lynx, but I assume it works in fully manual mode without the battery?

It is one of the RFs that has everything: good looking, rock solid, full mechanical but with a cds meter and a great -in all means- lens.
Looking forward to see the results of your next field test.
