Hi folks,
This sweet little camera appeared here today and when you first grab it, it certainly feels like an Electro-lite camera being smaller and less weighty than most of the Electro series.
Electro 35 FC
By all accounts, it has a good, sharp lens - I hope to try it in the next day or two.

Nice looking camera, the trapezium shaped RF reminds me to the Canonet, maybe was done that way on purpose.

And this camera is even more cute...
Yashica's beautiful little Electro 35 MC.

Very nice camera. It reminds me of my Minolta Hi-Matic G2 with a 38mm f2.8 -- auto-exposure (except for flash), but with a focusing lens.

I have two of them. The one on the left was made in Japan, while the one of the right was assembled in Hong Kong. Just some markings are a little different, otherwise they are the same build.
From the Hong Kong model:
From the Japan model:
The meter on the Japan version wasn't as accurate as the Hong Kong one, but nothing was terribly messed up beyond PS Elements' rudimentary controls.

And now this adorable little camera has crossed my threshold: the Electro 35 CC. Electro 35 CCIt's a weighty camera and it has been great to find one that's working and still has its original case. It certainly feels solid and reassuring in the hand. The weather is awful here and likely to stay that way for a few days but when it clears, a trip and some film is called for...

Aside from the joy of it's fast 35m f/1.8 lens, I think the CC is one of the smartest Electro 35s but It's definitely bigger and heavier than it looks.

A very nice camera indeed.
It reminds me of my Minolta Hi-Matic G2 -- which is similar in size and shape, but has a 38mm lens of the f2.8 variety.
It is a slower lens for sure, but the camera has a hot shoe -- unlike the beautiful CC. The G2 only came in black and had a tripod socket, with an auto-exposure shutter speed, no cable release or self-timer. Lots of plastic -- weighs next to nothing. GREAT optics.
There are lots of these cameras -- too often over-looked.

Definitely a fine camera. You can easily get results like these.
Kodak Gold 200
Kentmere 400
Only photo I have of mine. The hood (which I highly recommend you getting one) is a W 52mm from "heavy stars" on eBay which replicates almost exactly the original.
