I'm wondering if anyone is in the same boat that I'm in. I've used Koken as my photo web gallery/blog for several years on my primary site, and was not aware that sometime late last year the owners (NetObjects) silently walked away and seemingly have abandoned the software. They aren't answering support emails, the download and referal links for the hosted/managed version no longer work, the entire help sections of the parent site are unreachable, and I presume that the paid plugin customers are left without support or security fixes.
Is anyone here using it, or knows anyone who is still using it?

I was not aware of that service but it seems that was abandoned long time ago, the last update in their blog about important fixes is from Feb 2017, same on Facebook. On the other hand the web and domain are still up and running so someone is paying for it, maybe the whole thing was transferred/sold to another person or company and the new owner is just not interested in working on it.
In any case, I would recommend to get a backup of all your stuff there and look for another service.

There were updates from them in some Github repositories as late as November, and I'm not sure if anyone participated in their gallery SaS service - even during the beta phase. Since I self-host the gallery script, it will keep on working as-is without NetObjects' support, but it's not good news for the long term. I've already evaluated something to use, but wasn't looking forward to doing a gallery replacement this soon.
The silent dissapearing act is what threw me more than anything.
