I see it doesn't have the flash ready contact. Presumably because Braun had no compatible flashes. Does it have the horizontal or 45 degree split prism? And does the ISO range correlate with the Super 2000? Hi - it has a 45 degree split prism unlike the Yashica FX-3 2000 Super. It has the same ISO range: 25-3200 and unlike matthiasausk's Phenix model, it has all 13 stops on the speed dial. It's a nice, basic camera. Sounds like a hybrid of FX-3 Super and Super 2000. The 45 degree prism is like the earlier models but it's had a 2000 shutter fitted.

I see it doesn't have the flash ready contact. Hihi, my PHENIX DC-303 has a flash ready contact ... but there is no cable leading to this contact. In addition there are 13 times printed from B / 1 / ... /2000 but there are only 12 stops ... Sounds like the 1000 shutter is fitted. The earlier shutter that only went to 1000th had a position for 2000th but it wasn't click stopped. I've got a DC303N Multi Exposure and that does have the 2000 shutter.

Yet another FX-3 Super 2000 clone from China on Ebay - a Weber FZ 2000.
The listing photos clearly show that the camera has a C/Y mount and comes with its kit lens - a Weber 50mm f1.7 MC. It is nice to see one of these clones being provided with a prime lens instead of the ubiquitous short zoom, though I would be curious to see how it compares with a 50 1.7 ML or DS-M!

This is very interesting. A simple search shows that there was indeed a WEBER FZ 2000 -- with lots of pictures OF THE CAMERA.
Proving once again that you will never know what you find by overturning any rock.

Prices seem to have dropped dramatically with this recent offering from a Japanese seller for a Kenko KF-3YC body at $169 USD.

Looks fine, Biggles. Since i have two mint copies of the FX-3 Super 2000, no need to hunt other iterations. Time is limited, and one does have only two hands, i can't even use all of my camera & lenses.

Interesting the KF-3YC has the same metal battery cover as my Kenko KF-M1 so I wonder if the top and bottom plates are also metal like the KF-M1. That would make it a worthy alternative to the FX-3 S2000 maybe.

Interesting the KF-3YC has the same metal battery cover as my Kenko KF-M1 so I wonder if the top and bottom plates are also metal like the KF-M1. That would make it a worthy alternative to the FX-3 S2000 maybe. In the couple of short tidbits I read on Kenko and the whole KF body series, they came with 4 different lens mounts, so rather than being a rebranded clone, they could be seen as updates instead. I'm sure that those of us who've collected/used C/Y camera bodies are familiar with the shortcomings of their softer plastic battery caps/holders and how difficult to remove they can be because of misshaped slots. It may have been logical to enhance them with metal caps at the same time to freshen their desirability for what I'd assume to be very little cost when compared to 4 new mounting cowls and rings. That might also be the reason behind the change in materials... they simply wanted a better product, and not just a rehash of an existing body.
