Good Morning Forum !
i've sold a FR-1, and bought a FR-1, because the 1st one was for Parts, it was beyond repair for my needs...so far, so good. Here comes the thing now, i do have a FR-1 in excellent condition, even the often broken Shuttercounter does work (yay!), but i haven't had a Eyepiece for it - now i got one, put it on the square ocular on my FR-1, and noticed instantly play,
this was new...haven't mentioned before, because never used that FR-1.
The catch is now, this square Piece from the OVF onto the back does have play around ~2mm at all directions, even up & down, how could that being fixed? I've never seen anything like this on a Yashica SLR....sad, but true.
I do really want to use this FR1, but it's horrible with the Eyepiece being attached, and then that thing wobbles 2mm into all sides, even up & down. Can this being fixed?
thanks Marc

Which eye piece Marc? F-3? F-5? Original rubber type? And is it a genuine Contax/Yashica one or a third party one?

Hi Peter, it's an original Yashica Part - i do have the original Box from the FR-1, it's genuine, and that Eyepiece was lying inside there. It's not the Eyepiece Peter, it's my FR-1 itself. That square Box, the Optical Viewfinder, where you put your Eyepiece on, is wobbing, not the Eyepiece itself. Hope you do understand it now better. The Eyepiece is fine - it's the Viewfinder into my FR1, which is wobbling. But i haven't noticed this before, because i've had no Eyepiece, and whileas i am wearing glasses, my perscription glasses would otherwise getting scratched, without an Eyecup. Edit, i've uploaded a picture here - this Part from the Viewfinder on the FR-1 Backside is wobbly, ca. ~2mm into all directions, even in & out.
What causes that particular issue? As you can see, not the Eyepiece, but the Body itself is being affected.

There's two screws that hold that part in place. Either they are very loose or missing. You need to remove the top plate to get at them.

Might be a glitch in the new uploader, but I see no image, just the title. Could it be because I may be using a different Forum theme than you are?

Marc didn't use the proper image tags. Here's the image
Hmmm. After I posted the image here, it appeared in the previous posts. Strange.

I tried to edit the originating post, and re-insert the image by using the toolbar 'Insert Image' button, which did alter the code a bit. I can see it now, but I too couldn't see it at first. Time will tell if it stays 'stickey'.

Weird, i've posted it twice, and it disappeared twice also here, lumiworx. It dissapeared again when I revisted the forum, so it looks like it may not be a reliable way to post images. If you'd like to try the new gallery to use for embedding images, I'll be happy to create an account for you if you send me a new message. The gallery itself and the new 'Upload' button are working here without any issues so far.

I wonder if it's to do with the site the image is located on (bilder-upload.eu). Maybe it's black listed somewhere and the forum software is removing the image. I've tried posting an image from another site next to Marcs using exactly the same code and mine always shows up and Marc's doesn't.

The only bans possible for this forum are tied to specific users and/or the IP address they used to log in with. The IP for bilder-upload.eu, is 104.27.140.15, and it isn't in any of the 90+ SPAM blacklists I can check, and it isn't associated with any currently banned users of this forum. If ProBoards has banned it on all of it's forums for some reason, there's no way to know or reverse it that I can find.

I don't know, what happened hereby...but seriously, i don't care, about that Picture issue, it's weird, but at least some people could see it. I haven't de-tached the Top Plate of my FR-1, on order to check what's going on, if i can fix the wobbly OVF Piece here...
