I'm developing a new Yashica-only website, and it includes a complete camera list, company timeline, and will include a gear gallery. The dev version is accessable online while it's being built, at: vnew.vintage-yashica.com/camera-list

Only SLR's? Every format? All variants? All colour variants? It could end up a very long list.
My list from 1953 to 2007 (must get around to adding later ones (cough)) is 775 items long!

bobblehat ... The site includes a list of all camera models in all body/camera types. At the top of the presented table is the specific category count by body types. There's no minor variations from incremental changes within any single models Yashica ever listed, and no per-color list-items (except the gold plated presentation models), nor any serial number adjustments for 'Showa years' to the Heisei Era or the Reiwa Era, etcetera. There may well be thousands of permutations with hundreds of part substitutions or technical adjustments per model name over time, and not just my current list of 382 or your's of 700+. Those I've included are strictly a list of models made/sold by Yashica from the 50's to 2015 that they themselves might generally consider as their official production model list. Nothing more, nothing less. Canon's, and to some extent Nikon's, official lists available online follow a similar formula in their presentations, and I've chosen to use that same basic criteria. Canon Museum: global.canon/en/c-museum/Nikon History: www.nikon.com/about/corporate/history/chronology/index.htm Ah! Your message beat mine by seconds … so the questions were not really questioning your choice of what to put on your website …. but to try to find out what barry_r's range of items he would like to see on the list! As you have summarised, there could be several criteria as to what to include or exclude, so I was trying to see where barry_r was aiming in the spectrum! I will use the QUOTE feature in future (as above) so people can see who I am replying to! Will your website include Yashica Brazil produced items, as some of them do not seem to have ever been produced in Japan?

Will your website include Yashica Brazil produced items, as some of them do not seem to have ever been produced in Japan? I'd like to add any specifics I can on Brazilian camera models - either partially or fully produced there - assuming I can identify them with a good degree of certainty. I've stumbled onto a few bits and pieces over time, but there's almost nothing in the way of official documentation and that means a lot of guesswork... and I'm not a fan of treating guesses as comparable to facts. If I can add any type of production dates to those details, I'd also like to plug the results into the timeline too. The biggest problem is finding the time to do all the research, with all the projects I have on my plate. bp_reid ... I'm glad it was useful. At some point I plan on having a more 'portable' list than tabular data.

The Contax Tix is a superb little camera and my personal favourite out of the Contax fixed lens compacts. I owned one for a few years before getting my first digital compact.
The body and controls are all fully resolved and it’s really nice to hold and use, arguably better than it’s close relative the T3. It also has a clever reversible lens hood plus all the advantages of a full implementation of APS technology including all of the shooting data.
Oddly, prices have crept up over the last couple of years in spite of APS film’s demise. However If APS was still viable I’d buy one again.

I think all the APS cameras are there in the list … but some of them are marked as 35mm ….. work in progress I suppose. Of course it doesn't help that Kyocera had a habit of marketing them under different model names … like Ultima …. Profile …. Acclaim!

Thanks for pointing out the mislabeling on the TiX... I've corrected it to be an APS film type. I think all the APS cameras are there in the list … but some of them are marked as 35mm ….. work in progress I suppose. Of course it doesn't help that Kyocera had a habit of marketing them under different model names … like Ultima …. Profile …. Acclaim! You're absolutely correct about two things. It's very much a work in progress, and Kyocera and Yashica both had some 'bad habits' on marketing.

I do like the Tix for it's looks, but here's what i dislike - 28mm Focal Length, my shoot-it-all is 35mm. Second, it's only APS Format, and afaik nowadays (2020) only Lomography does a few APS Films...hence it's a dead Film Format nowadays, and way smaller than 36x24mm Small Picture Format.
But it's a very cute, sexy little camera, at least into black color. Anyway, no comparsion to the mighty Contax T3. But that little Fellow is very overhyped anyway. We do have currently the idiocratic pricesituation, because some Hipster Freakos, and also some questionable "Celebrity" used Contax Gear to push their Ego into some Latenight Show.

Hey! Lenslover …… name names … name names (might be better as a PM) …… I'd love to know who these "Contax Users" are, but I go to bed early! p.s Lumiworx ….. just in case you haven't spotted the other APS cameras in your list that are marked as 35mm here are some I noticed for your next scheduled update ….. 1995 Yashica Acclaim AF 1996 Yashica Acclaim FF 1996 Yashica Acclaim 100 1996 Yashica Acclaim Zoom 200 1996 Yashica Acclaim Zoom 300

This reminds me of the Konica Big Mini craze that is currently going on. The Big Mini came in a bunch of styles, and some are very nice, but the prices on EBAY are out of this world. Many are selling for $300-400 dollars, USED. I have no idea if this is due to a celebrity liking one, or some Late Night show appearance, but it sure is NUTS.

bobblehat ... Thank you for the added info. I have them updated, and also added the Kyocera Ultima versions as well. It's been awhile since I've addressed the errors and omissions, and appreciate the pointers.
