They are Yashica in name only - there is not a single Yashica component in the camera although the Bilora lens is capable of delivering fine images. The Bilora Bilomatic X is the original version - and as you will notice, the only real difference is the logo. Why Yashica chose to ask Bilora to produce a 126-film camera in their name, without even using a Yashica lens, is difficult to fathom, especially as their EZ-Matic series cameras were selling reasonably well in multiple markets including Europe.

I'm sure someone has come up with a name for this phenomenon. Yashica gear sold under another name -- or other gear sold under the Yashica name. Likewise, there are lots of Minolta cameras sold under other names -- like John Glenn's Ansco Autoset the first camera in space on Friendship 7 -- and other non-Minolta gear sold under the Minolta name.
And then their is Vivitar, Soligor, Spiratone, B&H, Osawa, etc.
Putting together a list of who sold what under each brand name would be like putting together a thesaurus. WAY too big a deal -- even for a dedicated graduate student.

Maybe the 126-film was so successful in Europe that a quick reaction was done by the marketing people. (My first camera was a 126-camera of Photo Porst)

OK, then. I'll add it.
And then there is Vivitar, Soligor, Spiratone, B&H, Osawa, etc. -- AND Photo-Porst, Revue, Cambron, Allied Impex, Kalimar, Carena,...........................

Can't recall seeing one here in the US. Must have been a European market deal.

Yes Peter, it must be so...because i do remember that top cross for the rotating 4x Flash quite well, from a Kodak Camera, my Mother used, when i was way small...
It's a Flash, which you can only use 4 times, and then needing an exchange, a new Kodak Instamatic Flash Cube. My Mother used a Kodak Instamatic 100, it was exactly this camera here shown at the end of the Ad.
