At long last, after a wait of a year or two, I finally got my hands on the 62mm circular lens shade for Yashica's superb wide-angle masterpiece.
ML 24mm f2.8 - 62mm Lens Shade res
And delivered with it was the 24mm lens pictured, that I ordered only yesterday. It's all now attached to an RTSIII and ready for some action...

Congrats on finding one. I've had no luck after a few years of looking. The hoods for the normal lenses pop up often enough at a fair price, but of the other hoods, I've only seen one astronomically high-dollar listing for the ML 21mm's 'squished' rectangular model. It's odd how the hoods can be even rarer than the lenses they're meant to shade.

You are absolutely right about the rarity of certain hoods - especially the metal ones - and the prices asked for them.
As you say, the 75mm Rectangular Hood for the ML 21mm is the most expensive to buy and among the hardest to find although even rarer is the 90mm slip-on for the DX100 f4 Medical, after which comes the deep 62mm circular screw-in for the 70-210 f4, the shallow 62mm circular screw-in for the 24mm, and then the rectangular 54mm for the 28mm (shallower than the regular 54mm Hood) and the rectangular 57mm for the 55 1.2 and 100 f3.5. The 54mm Rectangular Hood for the standard 50mm lenses and the 100 f4 Bellows is more plentiful but still not cheap. It is interesting to note that in all the early Yashica catalogues, the majority of lenses could only be hooded by the use of the Yashica 52mm Adapter Ring supporting a Contax 67/86 ring and a Contax 1,3 or 4 Metal Hood - a rather unwieldy arrangement. I use the 28mm's Hood on the ML 35mm lens too as the standard 54mm can cause slight vignetting, especially when using a filter; I've not seen a dedicated metal hood for the 35mm but it may be out there. You can see the 2 versions of the 54mm rectangular hood in the image below.
Yashica 54mm lens shades
And you can add to the rare and expensive list the Contax 77mm screw-on hoods for the f1.2 Planars (I swapped a spare one for a 50mm 1.4 Planar) and the Tamron 70mm hood for the SP 17mm f3.5. The workaround for the Tamron ultra-wide-angle is the equally rare and costly Contax 70/86 slip-on Adapter Ring acting as a hood.

The rarest Tamron hood seems to be the #27fh for the 24-48. I foolishly let mine go a few years back and have yet to see another for a sensible price!
On the contax hoods, I use a 70/86 ring with a w1 hood on my PC Distagon as well as keeping a 70/86 on my 18/4. In both cases this is mainly to Allow the use of the slip-on metal caps in place of the bloody awful hard rubber caps they are supplied with.

I've just received the 54mm Yashica hood. Yashica literature reproduced on line suggests it was for use with the 28/2.8 , 35/2.8 , 50/1.4, 50/1.7, 50/2 & 55/2.8. I find it hard to believe it could work with the 28mm without vignetting and perhaps the same for using it with the 35/2.8.
Anyone use this hood with any of these lenses plus or minus filter?

The dealer sheet for ML filters and hoods verifies the list you noted as workable, and it also adds the 100mm Bellows lens. It might be a bit impractical in actual use on a bellows setup under certain circumstances (casting daylight shadows on subjects, etc.), but it is listed just the same. The same sheet pairs up the appropriate Contax hoods/rings for use with ML lenses, so the concept of using those alternate pairings across multiple focal lengths was taken into consideration during lens design. The angle of (outward) view will obviously be different between lenses, but the angle of incidence of errant light falling onto the front element can be nearly identical for the whole list. I'm not sure that any OEM hood was ever designed for use with 2+ filters in place, but I'd assume that none on the 'official' pairings would have issues with vignetting when only 1 filter is attached. In practical use, I don't recall it being obvious on any setups I've ever used, if it ever happened at all. One other note... I eventually did find all the various Yashica ML hoods after my previous post in 2019 - except - the 75mm 'squished' hood for the 21mm. They seem to have disappeared from view, at any price.

Please be aware that there are two different versions of the 54mm hood from Yashica. The standard one is fine (no vignetting) for all lenses from 35mm BUT there is a specific, more shallow 54mm hood which you can see above on the lens attached to the Yashica FR and it is marked: 54mm for 28mm 1:2.8 LENSI can confirm that the standard 54mm hood will work on the 35mm with 1 filter without causing any vignetting. All Yashica's hoods were designed to work with their designated lenses plus 1 filter. That being said, some polarising filters might be too deep for use with the 35mm lens unless using the shallow 54mm hood meant for the ML 28mm. Inevitably, the 54mm version for the 28mm lens is not easy to find.
