Very interesting. I'm partial to the Samurai Z because it is smaller and has more features than the X3.0 or X4.0. And although it is largely auto-everything, some adjustments can be made. I've used a lot of half-frames, and the Z's results are incredible.

...and the Z's results are incredible. Much better than the results with a X3 or X4?

As much as i do like Yashica, these "Samurai" Kind of weird, strange things never catched me...it's a strange kind of Gear. Well, innovative it was, back into it's heyday.

I like my 3.0 because of its modern features. Once one gets used to the AF, it's a fine camera.

The 3X and the 4X are great cameras, but they are a little too large for me. The Z is perfect for me.
To each his own.

However, I thought about collecting them at one time since there were only four models in the series, or so I thought. Found out today the Z was also made in a left handed version, the Z-L. You don't see that every day.

Depending on how you count them, there were eight or more versions including the Z2 and Z2-L www.subclub.org/shop/yashsam.htmThe odd thing about the Z2 is that Yashica removed a few buttons on the rear panel, but they did not bother to remove the internal electronics for those features.
