We've often discussed Tomioka glass and lenses that are sold claiming to be made by that illustrious name... well, here's an indisputable Tomioka lens paired with my good old FX-70 (you don't see this camera very often)...
Tominon 75mm FX-70 r
That lovely little Tominon is sharp as you like!

Hi biggles, nice shot of these being paired. I do own the FX-70 also, but the pleather is being gone, do you know, where to find a proper replacement? Aki-Asahi doesn't have anything for the FX-70...

Interesting. One must conclude that if you include Tomioka's lenses that fit on Yashica & Contax cameras -- but were not labeled "Yashica", "Yashinon", etc. -- that there are more lens options to chose from.
One question, though. Is there something special about this lens? f4.5 is pretty slow for a 75mm lens, unless it has a special purpose -- like a macro lens or enlarging lens.

Hi biggles, nice shot of these being paired. ;) I do own the FX-70 also, but the pleather is being gone, do you know, where to find a proper replacement? Aki-Asahi doesn't have anything for the FX-70... The only pre-cut replacements I've ever seen for the FX-70 is from Hugo Studios. I've purchased a couple of their covers, and they're kind of close to Aki-Asahi's material quality, but there are a few differences... 1. Hugo's has more material color and texture options. 2. Aki-Asahi's are perceptably thicker and may be more durable long-term. 3. Hugo Studio's panels have precision cuts done by laser and can be finicky to install, where Aki-Asahi's are more generously cut to 'factory' patterns and die-cut. 4. Both need some help at the outside corners to stay in place on Yashica bodies. A 6-8mm strip of double sided tape put on the body first will work like magic to fix that. 5. You only get 1 set of covers with Hugo's, so no practice sets.
