Hello,
I was wondering if you could help me with something. So I have a perfectly functional Yashica Mat LM except for the light meter that does not longer work. I have heard that geting it repaired is just nonsense having a handheld lightmeter. My Yhasica´s light meter ranges from 1 to 10 but on my mobile and other light meters the reading I get is a maximum of 19.66 lux (or something approximate). How do this both reading compare? Because in order to adjust the shutter speed and exposure I need a light reading ranging from 1 to 10.
Thank you so much,
Juan

You need a separate light meter that gives you an exposure in terms of aperture and shutter speed, not Lux, then set the camera to the indicated aperture and shutter speed. There's several phone apps that will work. I use LightMeter by David Quiles on my Android phone.
