Hello, I am new here and just discovering the great value of vintage Yashica lenses. I have my first ML on the way: the 80-200mm F4. In the meantime I picked up a YUS 135mm 2.8 at a great price that I really enjoy. I have seen 3 versions of this lens one of which seems to be exactly the same lens as the Yashica 135mm DSB. Two of them have 55mm filters and one 58mm. You can identify them by the different hyperfocal distance scale. Does anyone know if there is any difference in image quality between these lenses or are they all essentially the same? I have the one I decided to call version 3. Although, i have no idea of the real order they were produced. Version 1. 55mm filter thread. I have only seen it sold under the YUS brand. Version 2. 55mm filter thread. This one seems to be exactly the same as the Yashica DSB. Version 3. 58mm filter thread. I have only seen it sold under the YUS brand.

In case someone is interested in sample pictures. I have adapted this lens to my FujiFilm X-T1. Shot wide open at 2.8 at ISO 200. Quick minor editing. The subject is a plastic chicken, which actually turned out to be a great test subject as it's black and white with some patterns. Good background blur and 3D looking. Here is the out of camera JPEG at f2.8 without any editing. It's a bit soft at this aperture and you can see some CA. Stopping it down 1 stop the sharpness drastically improves and the CA is almost gone. The sharpness is as good as what my best modern Fuji glass can do and things just get better from F4 onward. Here is the out of camera jpeg at F4 and ISO 200. And final picture is the jpeg at F4 after some minor editing.
