A great idea, Adrian, to get a Yashica forum started again. Thanks for the effort.
An errant finger hit the return key while I was typing in my user name, so it came out nrp. I'm known by nrparsons or nparsons13 on other forums. I've been playing around with Electro 35s for some time now, and love it when I can get a faulty one working again. I'm also interested in using Yashica M42-mount lenses on both film and digital SLRs.

Hi nrparsons, thanks for joining our forum/community. The old YashicaForum was such a lovely place to share our yashicas passion I hope we could rebuild that with this new forum. How many Electro 35 do you have? Yes, definitely the Electro 35s is one beautiful rangefinder that could last for decades. I have two, the first model and the G model. My G model does not focus well on the +infinite and I hope in the future to fix it. Right now I don't have the tools and skills Can you show us your gear/photos? best regards, adrian PS: The Flickr group (http://www.flickr.com/groups/yashicaelectro/) is quite strong with tons of users and photos. Also this forum have a Flickr Badge on the home page streaming photos from this group.

Adrian, I live in central Florida, USA, near Orlando. I own four working Electro 35s: a first-model (with the rectangular rangefinder patch), a GT, and two GSNs. I sold another working GSN at a local swap meet in September. I also have another GSN that needs a little more adjustment to get it in working condition, two GSNs that need quite a bit more work, and four or five parts cameras, mostly former GSNs, in various states of disassembly. I haven't posted any Electro 35 photos on flickr in some time, but here's one of my first-model (which I call "pre-G"). Below that is a photo taken with that camera a couple of years ago. The pre-G came to me in very good shape and only needed a new POD and light seals--unlike my GT, which also needed some wiring replaced. You're right, the Yashica Electro 35 group on flickr is very useful and has a lot of great photos. I'm a member of that group as well as the Classic Camera Repair & Maintenance group, which also discusses Yashica cameras. Some of my other Yashica Electro 35 photos are in the flickr set www.flickr.com/photos/nparsons13/sets/72157625770811479/.

You can edit your user name by going to your user profile (link is beneath the header on every page), clicking the "edit profile" button, and choosing the "Personal" tab.

Thanks, greyscale. I corrected it.
