I picked up this little auto focus motor. Couldn't resist for $5. A 38 mm f/2.8 4 element lens, seems to be the norm for most compact auto focus cameras of the era. Totally zone focus. There is a distance indicator window on the front that shows the zones, really? You'll never know the setting with the auto focus and shoot. The only time you see the setting is using the focus lock. Oh yeah, the focus lock button, one you press it you can never go back (unlock) until you advance to the next frame. Neat little camera otherwise! Experimented with some really outdated Fuji 200.

I'll say one thing, it certainly does well up close, unlike a lot of other P&S AF cameras. Looks like you were well within three feet/one meter of the tulips.
The biggest problem I find with cameras of this sort is that lots of times they were not taken very good care of, and will have cracked bodies, or broken internals that just aren't worth trying to fix. But for $1-$5 each, they are great fun when you get a good one. I know, I've got boxes full of them.

$5???... give me two! Nice camera gary, the things I like by compare it with the MF-1 I have are: the Shutter Lock, the Film Transport Indicator and the Distance Indicator Window (but should be on the back, not on the front). Ideal camera to take it with you everywhere, good lens and easy to find batteries, and no worries if you break it by accident.

Agree this camera does pretty good up close. I was well inside the 1 meter mark on those red tulips. After taking it I thought boy that's not going to turnout. Here is another tulip picture taken at the 1 meter mark. The camera came with a really nice case. I doubt that I'll use it much at it doubles the size of the camera comparable to an SLR. The shutter lock is a great feature. The film transport indicator pinwheel is really groovy, wonder who came up with that concept? ;-)
