It's just a modification of a Dental Eye I lens so it can be used on an M42 thread mount camera. Sounds like they also replaced the light set-up.

I thought that the Dental Eye only came in a 100mm focal length.

I thought that the Dental Eye only came in a 100mm focal length. No - the original Dental-Eye was a 55mm f4 lens but there were complaints from dentists and medical staff that patients felt intimidated by the closeness of the camera so a longer focal length was decided upon. As Yashica had already developed the DX-100 f4, that became the basis for the next and subsequent Dental-Eye models.
If Yashica was still manufacturing such gear today, I'm pretty sure they'd have looked at the LED option rather than the more expensive, and short-lived, ring-flash. I suspect that modified 55mm (it has a reputation for sharpness) with the LED set-up will make an excellent macro lens.
