Hello All. I'm new and still learning about everything. Now the question/problem. I just acquired a beautiful Dental EyeII But the charger cord is missing. Could someone who has one, please, copy all the info on it and send it to me? I'm pretty sure I can make another one if I have the pertinent data for it. OR! Does someone have one for sale? Found one. Thread closed.

Welcome to the Forum Lepidus!
I'm afraid that I don't have direct experience with Yashica's DE MkII but I'm aware that the mains adapter produces an output of 4.5v at 2A.
I understand the internal battery is a 6v rechargeable type. I'm assuming you will need to remove the baseplate to access the internal battery which hopefully is not hard-wired. As the charger for the Dental Eye II is recommended for use with the MkIII, I would expect the fittings to be the same and with the MkIII, removal of the screws in the baseplate will give you access to its 6v battery. As there's a UK company whish sells a non-rechargeable replacement (the Duracell 245 M3 6v Lithium) for the MkII's, it must be a common task to replace these internal batteries.

Thanks for the info. I took the base plate off and there was no sign of the battery. I'm still looking for that sucker.

OK!! I found how to access the battery. Had it figured out earlier and couldn't see the forest for the trees. Blind in one eye and can't see out of the other. Even found a power supply with the correct volts and amps. Thanks 'till the next catastrophe.

The battery is accessed on the bottom left of the base plate, look for the screw. The battery is a 6v lithium 2CR5. Battery life is approx 450 shots (continuous shooting with flash, normal temperature, Kyocera standard) AC adapter is 4.5V 1600mA center negative. Cheers! Gary

Many thanks for taking time to help. I found it all by myself(quite a unique feat for me). Now I'm set to go.
Best to all. Philip

Thank you!!! I've been away and just caught up on the forum. I'll have to grab it when I get home day after tomorrow. That fixes that problem. Wonder what's next?

Hey, Biggles3. What type of equipment do you have for your DE3. I know I need a lens cap, but not sure of other accessories.
