Shot the first roll in the 635 after doing some transplants, and resetting. No parts rejections to report. But I goofed up when using a yellow filter. I have a Kodak Series V to Bay 1 adapter with a hood, and when I put the filter in it, I forgot to remove the retainer ring, and put the filter on over the top of that, with the hood to follow. Needless to say, I got a bit of vignetting, but was able to deal with most of it in PS Elements 10 by cropping, dodging, and burning. Sometimes, all three on the same photo, because I also got some reflection glare from the retaining ring off the back of the filter. But the camera is working fine, now I just need to order a covering set for it. Use the link at the end for the full set. Film is Kodak T-Max 100, with visual exposure calculation. The "crossing gate" on full view has a catch I can't describe. Good job, Phil.

Thanks, Mike and Adrian. I was really glad to see the results after the work I put into the camera.

Are you bracing for a snowstorm down there, Phil?

Are you bracing for a snowstorm down there, Phil? I don't brace, Mike, I just go with the flow Shoveled the first six inches from the sidewalk tonight, will have another six tomorrow. Easier to do it in two shifts, then trying to get it all at once. Then we have an Alberta Clipper blowing through on Friday. Temps in the fifties on Monday. PF

We will finally be getting some spring-like weather up here for the next week or so, in the 40's tomorrow. I have loaded some Kodak BW400 in the Retina, and hope to finish a roll of TMAX 100 that has been languishing in the Speedex for several weeks. Then the Yashica 12 and the Jsorette are up in the queue.

My shoveling job last night was all for naught, as when I looked out this morning, you couldn't even tell I did anything. Lot of wind blowing that powder around. I got out and did the sidewalk again this morning, along with cleaning off the vehicles, but now we are in the back side flow of the storm, and could get three to five more inches. At least the view out back is lovely.

Haha, "high speed internet for all mankind" don't know why but I love that picture new clashing with the old. Really nice pictures! Good job on that 635, it really, really makes me want a TLR!
About to get hit pretty hard here in northern Maine, supposedly 18 inches or more:/

About to get hit pretty hard here in northern Maine, supposedly 18 inches or more:/ Oh yeah, you need something in 6x6 or larger. There are lots of different Yashica models to choose from, but most seem to like the D, and the Mats. The 635 is just a D with the capability of shooting 35mm with an add-on kit. It was meant mostly for doing portraiture. PF
